Building on the pedigree of the JP173 student model, the JP273 benefits with the addition of a fully compensating system to aid the tuning of the instrument. Bottom sprung monel piston valves with nylon valve guides offer a smooth and free action, and the yellow brass construction aids a warm, round sound.
